We are healthy when our yin and yang energies are balanced and our chi is flowing smoothly throughout the entire body. The intention of acupressure is to guide the body back into balance and flow -- the BalanceFlow principle. This is a holistic practice that restores health to the whole person -- body, mind, and spirit. It is much more than simply a means to eliminate symptoms.
On these pages I've provided a variety of ways to relieve stress using acupressure. The descriptions serve as a refresher for students who have seen a demonstration in one of my classes or talks. There's enough information here for you to learn how to hold individual points or point sequences, even if you haven't seen a demonstration. The first section will take you to handouts I used at a recent class for employees of a corporation. They contain illustrated versions of many of the instructions on these page.
I am preparing a DVD that will allow you to practice acupressure in real time, right along with a video. There will also be a booklet with complete illustrations. If you would like to be notified when the DVD and booklet are available, please send me an email with the subject line: Notify Me When DVD Is Released. I will not use your email address for any other purpose.
